i brought home my set of complete dentures from denture technique haha, cos i was clearing space in my cupboard! :D i need to make space for patients' casts and special trays and all haha... i'm so messy omg every time i open my cupboard i feel like things are gonna fall onto my head )):
anw, here are some pics of my dentures!! ((:
| maxillary complete denture! (: for the upper jaw haha!! it was shiner than this, right after i polished it!! but it accumulated some dirt in my cupboard and lost it's shine haha D: it was such a pain to set up all the teeth in the arch omg, cos must check the bite with the lower denture, and make sure the teeth are arranged in a flowing arch shape, perfectly symmetrical, and aligned with the occlusal plane! |
| incisal edge of central incisors and canine tips touching the same plane! |
| haha posterior teeth set up really killed me i tell you! but the final product looks good haha so it's well worth it! (: the molar arrangement was the worst omg... what, mesiopalatal cusp touching the occlusal plane, and the other cusp tips lifted off the plane by 0.5 mm and 1 mm omg (cant remember which is which hahaha) |
| the edentulous (totally toothless) ridge that the upper denture is supposed to fit on!! |
| mandibular complete denture for the lower jaw! (: the dark pink line is the repair line from the fracture of the denture that we were all made to repair haha! ): guess it would look slightly better if that repair line wasn't there, but oh wells! still pretty right! (: i spent craploads of time doing polishing leh ): |
| setting up teeth was a pain too, cos we had to achieve balanced occlusion ): this really made me feel like throwing my articulator on the floor and stamping on it lol, so frustrating i tell you!! |

| edentulous ridge of the lower jaw! (: |
